Sarah Martin: The Tiny Girl with the Big Voice and Bigger Heart

Sarah Martin is a Nashville recording artist, singer-songwriter, and full-time performer known for her powerhouse vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and ability to make every audience feel like part of the show. Often described as “the tiny girl with the big voice and even bigger heart,” and nicknamed "Sarah Sunshine", Sarah brings an infectious energy, genuine warmth, and emotional connection to every stage she steps onto.

A professional musician for more than 13 years, Sarah spent six years living and performing in Nashville, Tennessee, where she sang on some of the city's most iconic stages. Over the years, Sarah has earned many accolades as an independent artist, including being named “Local Catch of the Week” by Carolyn Kruse of Country 102.5 FM, Pro Country Female Artist of the Year, and nominated for Country Artist of the Year by the New England Music Awards.​

 

Sarah has had the incredible honor of performing in front of country music legends Wynonna Judd and Randy Travis, and also opening for three-time #1 hitmakers and ACM Award-winning duo Thompson Square, best known for their hit "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not", and LANCO, best known for their song "Greatest Love Story". 

 

At the corporate level, Sarah has performed at many high-profile events and colleges and partnered with major brands and organizations, including Kellogg’s Pringles, The American Red Cross, 101.7 The Bull, the Southern Women’s Show, and the Ladies Professional Golf Association.

Her songwriting credits include three original songs she was commissioned to write for the Grammy-winning documentary Somerville. ​Her original song "Those Days" also won her Grand Prize for the Global Rising Song competition, earning both the judges’ selection and the fan vote with a record-breaking number of votes and landing her on a lineup alongside Walker Hayes down in famous Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Her songs have also been featured on FM stations across the country.

On November 19th of this year, Sarah will be recording her next album live at The Spire Center for Performing Arts in Plymouth, MA. The new album, whose title has not yet been released, promises to be Sarah's most vulnerable album yet- bringing the audience through a story of love, loss, self-discovery, encouragement, and resilience- that will leave listeners feeling seen, heard, and ready to take on whatever life throws at them.

Beyond the stage, Sarah is deeply committed to her life mission of leaving the world better than she found it. She has taken the lyrics of her original song, "The Rainbow Workshop Song", which she was commissioned to write for the 40th Anniversary of her preschool alma mater, and published it as a children's coloring book. The song has since been sung by multiple grade school graduating classes. Sarah now does author events and school assemblies, speaking to children about the importance of self-talk, self-discovery, kindness, and the importance of being YOU through storytelling and music. 

 

In the past, she has also volunteered with National Angels, traveling across the country to support youth in foster care at 15 of the organization’s 22 chapters, and worked with Boston-based nonprofit EPIC, which empowers individuals with disabilities. ​

Whether she’s performing music, writing songs, or out making a difference in the community, Sarah remains dedicated to being rooted in authenticity, connection, and heart.​
